French pupils, in cooperation aided by the French Heritage Society, have already been studying United states social heritage at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown this summer. Julie Bernasconi and Marie Bord, the two winning and hard-working students that are french L’Ecole du Louvre on work/study grants from the French Heritage Society, have already been busily archiving maps and paintings long-stored at Lyndhurst’s greenhouse service building. They arrived at the same time once the curators had been doing regular upkeep with this Jay and Helen Gould collection, so that it dropped to Mademoiselles Bernasconi and Bord to wash, catalogue, measure, picture, check out the status associated with structures and repackage the artworks in archival material for conservation, each of which they faithfully finished throughout their quick two-month stay.
